As the summer marches on, we realized that August 9, 2020, marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the death of Jerry Garcia. Garcia was best known for his work with The Grateful Dead – a band that made immeasurable change to the music industry, and to music itself. Jerry’s personal contribution to music (with The Grateful Dead and too many other combinations of performers to count) is still missed a quarter of a century later. We decided to celebrate his music and his life with a limited run of pens.
We started with a custom ‘red, white and blue’ pour by Jonathan Brooks using color shades from the “Steal Your Face” logo. We added a nickel lightning bolt clip (thirteen points on that lightning, of course), and finished the pen with our logo on the body and a “Jerry Hand” on the cap. The pens are built around a 13mm cap thread with a Jowo #6 nib in our Style 10 shape. A total of seven pens were produced, and each will ship with a custom Rickshaw “Pen Your Face” sleeve and a holographic sticker for the occasion.
